I like your idea of pledging to use canvas bags. I am posting your info sheet in our classroom at GSB.

I have been using canvas bags for food shopping for years but after reading what you young people are doing I am going to try and start using canvas bags for all my shopping. What a great bunch of kids you are. Thanks for taking a stand in helping your community and the world as well.

Midcoast Yoga Shala <br>This was my New Year's Resolution for 2007, and it worked to establish using canvas bags as a habit! Thanks for working for the health of our planet!

I have been using canvas bags for library books and groceries, but am inspired by you to step it up a notch. I pledge to try my best to use canvas bags for all of my other shopping and to spread the word. Your enthusiasm and efforts are appreciated!

We have been using canvas bags (except when we forget to bring them; the curse of old age). Yours is an important and challenging undertaking because it involves changing a habit. -- I remember, though, back during the Communist years in Hungary you had to bring your own bag to the store, because they were simply not giving you any. The challenge was yours alone if you failed to bring a bag. And nobody complained.

Thank you for taking on this important issue. I have been using canvas bags for 15 years and am happy to see over the years how it has become more acceptable to use bring your own bag. I think educating the merchants and the baggers at the grocery stores will be very effective. I'm always amazed to see people take home ten plastic bags for their groceries which would fit into a couple of canvas bags.

Thanks Climate Action Club for all your work. My family and I have switched over to entirely canvas bags for shopping; if we forget them, we use paper bags... not as great but they can be recycled. Go CAC!!!
